MSC | Mechanical Services Corporation is seeking a New Business Development Representative (NBDR) to strategically promote our services and deliver the message of our well-established, fast-growing company. The successful NBDR candidate will be responsible for generating leads in viable markets, developing relationships with prospects and Centers of Influence (COIs), and conducting direct sales campaigns. The position is strongly complemented by existing email, direct mail, and digital marketing channels.

MSC is not a typical mechanical contractor – we are a service and diagnostics specialist in advanced HVAC, process cooling, and building automation systems. On-point communication skills and a strong grasp of what makes MSC different are required to effectively convey our messaging to the right people. MEP (mechanical/electrical/plumbing) contracting or other construction inside sales experience is preferred but not required; we will provide training. 

What will you be doing?

  • Handle inbound inquiries and collect new client data
  • Identify and establish contact with prospective clients and COIs using a multi-pronged approach
  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with decision-makers
  • Educate prospective clients on MSC’s advanced HVAC diagnostic capabilities and services
  • Develop and manage sales activity reports and track key metrics
  • Attend networking events and collect contact information from Centers for Influence
  • Collaborate with on-staff marketing professionals to ensure prospects receive the appropriate MSC literature for their specific needs

What you will bring:

  • Proven track record (at least 2 years) of successful new business development with other companies
  • Detail-oriented and responsive with excellent follow-through skills
  • Polished and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Good listener
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Advanced web search capabilities for identifying potential clients and obtaining contact info for key personnel
  • Strong ability to work through challenges and technical issues taking a multifaceted approach
  • Must maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • HVAC experience preferred
